President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has receved 180 applications for membership to Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) from Lh. Naifaru.

The applications were given to Solih at his campaign office by MDP’s head of Naifaru constituency and Naifaru council president Mohamed Kareem on Friday.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, Kareem said most of the applicants are young people including 55 who voted for the first time at the presidential election. He also said that many more from Naifaru will be joining MDP in the near future.

At the meeting, the Naifaru council president also congratulated president-elect Solih for his electoral win.
