President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Wednesday met with Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA)‘s Governor Ahmed Naseer.
Along with Governor Naseer, Solih had also met some senior employees at the authority.
While the meeting took place on Wednesday, Solih and the Governor had met on a previous occasion as well, which took place in Solih’s office.
It is notable that the President-elect is being called upon by several senior state employees as well as foreign leaders following his momentous win in the Presidential polls held on the 23rd of September. As such, Solih is seen holding meetings with senior officials of government-run offices as well as their employees.
While 233,877 eligible voters had cast their votes in Sunday’s ballots, Solih had taken the majority with 134,616 votes while outgoing President Abdulla Yameen came in second with 96,132 votes.
