A crane used for docking at the Maldives Ports Limited’s harbour in capital city Malé flipped over in an accident on Monday night.
A worker at the docks said that the incident occurred at about 10:30 PM while it was loading cable rolls on to a vessel destined for Maafaru Resort.
While no one was injured, the crane had collapsed onto a landing craft docked at the harbour, heavily damaging it.
The crane was lifted with military aid and the police has said that they are working to ascertain the cost of said damages.
