Police to summon MDP chairperson over illegal oil trade report
Senior members of the main opposition party detailed a report they compiled over illegal oil trade
A complaint has been filed over the report making allegations against a presidential candidate that undermined his rights and has the potential to influence the election
President Abdulla Yameen has also filed a court case regarding the report

Police have issued a summons for Hassan Latheef, the chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), over the illegal oil trade report.

He is to be summoned to the police station on Friday at 4pm.

In a press conference which was televised by RaajjeTV on September 3, senior members of the main opposition party detailed a report they compiled over illegal oil trade.

The police service stated that a complaint has been filed over the report making allegations against a presidential candidate that undermined his rights and has the potential to influence the elections.

President Abdulla Yameen has also filed a court case regarding the report.
