Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has on Monday predicted rain showers over several regions across the nation for the next 24 hours.
The weather report by the service reveals that rain showers and thunderstorms may be expected across different regions until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
MET office predicts winds to gust from south to southwesterly at 05 – 15 miles per hour in southern atolls, southwest to westerly at 08 – 18 miles per hour in northern and central atolls with winds gusting 35 miles per hour during showers.
The service expects seas to be slight in southern atolls and moderate to rough over the rest of the country.
