Joint Opposition presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has urged his supporters to be aware that the government will try to commit electoral fraud and create disorder.
Speaking at a campaign event in Sh. Lhaimagu on Wednesday night, Solih said they have received information that there are plans to commit such acts.
“We have to be prepared for whatever might happen. You know the state of this government. Illegal and unimaginable acts are being committed. So be prepared for such things.”
Advising supporters to come out early to vote on election day, Solih highlighted the importance of guarding the ballot boxes and confirming the results as soon as the votes at the polling stations are counted.
He also said that September 23 will be the day that people’s hopes are fulfilled.
