Maldives Joint Opposition's coalition’s vice-presidential candidate Faisal Naseem is to meet with Maldivian residents in neighboring India on Sunday evening.
While Naseem departed to India on Saturday evening, RaajjeMV understands that he will be meeting with Maldivians in India at 5pm India time at the Ruby Arena hotel in Trivandrum.
He is accompanied by senior officials of the Maldives Joint Opposition, including main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s deputy chairperson Ali Niyaz, Jumhooree Party’s vice president Dr. Abdulla Mausoom as well as Aminath Nadhira from the Maumoon Reform Movement (MRM), created by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s break-away faction of ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM).
All Maldivians residing in different districts and cities of India are invited to the gathering.
Naseem had on Saturday met with campaign teams in Trivandrum.
This is the vice-presidential candidate’s first trip abroad since being chosen as Solih’s running mate.
