RaajjeTV will be hosting its presidential debate on September 7.
The privately-run TV station has sent the relevant letters to notify the presidential candidates and their running mates.
While RaajjeTV has sent two invites to Presidential Abdulla Yameen, the candidate of the ruling party, he has not yet responded. However, candidate of the opposition coalition parties Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his running mate Faisal Naseem have confirmed they would be participating in the debate.
The only candidates running in the presidential election on September 23 are President Yameen, with his running mate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem, and Joint Opposition candidate Solih with Faisal.
