Opposition vice-presidential candidate Faisal Naseem has on Monday embarked on a campaign trip to the southern Fuvahmulah atoll.
Faisal, a parliamentarian himself, will be meeting supporters and residents of the atoll on his two-day trip. The lawmaker is a native of the atoll.
This is Faisal’s second trip to Fuvahmulah since he was tapped to be the Joint Opposition’s running mate and is expected to canvass with residents there, dubbed ‘door-to-door’.
Faisal first went to the atoll as vice-presidential candidate alongside presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, a fellow parliamentarian.
On Friday, Faisal visited Ukulhas island of Alif Alif atoll where he received a warm welcome from residents. Faisal represents the Kaashidhoo constituency in parliament.
