Interviewing officials will be concluded by week's end: Elections Commission

The Elections Commission has revealed that they will finish interviewing officials to be active in polling stations before the end of the week.
Commission member and spokesperson Ahmed Akram said that over 8,000 had submitted their applications before the deadline.
The commission revealed that the estimated 4,500 officials to be active in the presidential election will be selected after they pass the interviews.
Officials at polling stations will receive MVR 1,500 and their assistants will receive MVR 1,200 on election day.
While there are 262,141 eligible voters for this year’s Presidential Election, EC revealed that the window for re-registration was closed at 04:00 a.m. on Saturday.
