The powerhouse in Uligamu island of Haa Alifu atoll, constructed for over MVR four million, remains incomplete despite the government stating otherwise.

While the current administration's book 'Ravvehi Tharaqqee'- which chronicles the national developmental projects undertaken during the administration- claims that the MVR 4.7 million project has been completed, RaajjeMV has obtained a photo that proves otherwise.

According to the photo, only the building's framework has been completed.

When reached for a comment, Uligamu Council's media coordinator Mohamed Rasheed confirmed that the photo is 'real', and said that 'this is how far the project has been completed'.

He added that work on the island's powerhouse has been halted since early this year.

Furthermore, work to construct a futsal stadium in the island, worth MVR 744,000, has been halted since as well.
