Validity of re-registration forms will be ensured: Elections Commission

Elections Commission has said that they will ensure the validity of re-registration forms submitted at the commission.

The Elections Commission stated this through a tweet on their officials twitter account at a time of increasing accusations of fraud in the re-registration process.

In the tweet typed out in Dhivehi, EC said that they have been receiving complaints of fraud and so will ensure the validity of each and every form will be checked thoroughly.

Employees have accused state institutions and ministries of coercing them to complete their re-registration using applications that do not even have the polling center written on it. They added that the polling center is decided by heads at their HR Departments.

Moreover, The Civil Service Commission has drawn a lot of public criticism because ministries are carrying out the re-registration procedures, which is backed by the Elections Commission.
