Opposition’s presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed to the United Kingdom on a personal trip.
His spokesperson, South-Mahchangoalhi constituency MP Mariya Didi told RaajjeMV that Solih departed to the UK ‘on a personal trip’ early Wednesday morning.
Noting that the purpose of the trip is to attend his daughter’s graduation, Mariya said that he is expected to return within a week or less.
She added that Solih will commence the nation-wide campaign activities ‘immediately after returning’.
Solih first revealed that he will be taking a week-long break from campaigning on Monday, after returning to the capital following the conclusion of a successful campaign trip to the southernmost Addu and Fuvahmulah cities.
He had said that he will reconvene campaign activities on Monday.
