Member of Parliament for Addu-Meedhoo constituency Rozaina Adam has said that slaves of the current administration are carrying out the preparations for the upcoming Presidential Elections while the authorities continue to claim that the country's various insitutions are independent.

Speaking in the ceremony to launch the campaign site of opposition leader Mohamed Nasheed in Addu City, Rozaina said that Addu is a major fort for the opposition party and that ever since the establishment of the party, the most votes for the party in ballots held till date have come from the city.

Rozaina noted that the opening of the campaign site in Addu City will be a major progress for the ‘Jazeera Raees’ campaign.

“We are going into war. The truth is, the upcoming Presidential Election is one that is being controlled by hijacked institutions.” Said Rozaina.

Rozaina said that they will face 'a lot of obstacles' as the election is being administered by 'puppets' of the current administration.

The MP said that albeit the distance, the leader who is campaigning the closest to the citizens is former President Nasheed. As such, Nasheed contacts citizens in one region of the nation every day as part of his campaign activities while on the other hand, his opposing candidate is campaigning while hiding under a rock.

Rozaina highlighted that the opposition will bring an end to the current administration by “playing in the field shown by President Yameen himself, facing the referee chosen by Yameen and with the goalpost placed anywhere the President wishes.”
