A hearing of the terrorism trial against Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom's son-in-law Mohamed Nadeem has been scheduled for Wednesday morning.
The preliminary hearing regarding the case alleging Mohamed Nadeem of being involved in an act of terrorism is scheduled for 10:00 am.
Nadeem's father-in-law, President Maumoon, and brother-in-law MP Faris Maumoon are also being charged with terrorism and their preliminary hearings have already begun.
The aforementioned three individuals are kept under custody until the trials are over.
Nadeem is being charged with giving bribes to parliament members to overthrow the current administration, obstructing the functions of national institutions and paying bribes to the Supreme Court Justices to release rulings that affect national security. Additionally, he is also charged with attempting to illegally overthrow the government, unlawfully meddling with government functions and creating a dangerous atmosphere which endangers the people of the country.
