The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has cautioned the public over spreading respiratory infections in the country.

The HPA’s statement said their routine tests have found some influenza patients to be positive for H1N1.

The agency has asked individuals who have the common symptoms of H1N1, such as fever, body aches, and fatigue, to seek treatment.

In March last year, the Maldives went through an H1N1 epidemic that led to the death of six individuals.
