Google’s statistics for 2017 showed that other destinations that Indian nationals searched for during the holiday season this year is the Seychelles and Indonesia

Maldives was the most searched for travel destination in India, search engine Google revealed.

Google’s statistics for 2017 showed that other destinations that Indian nationals searched for during the holiday season this year is the Seychelles and Indonesia.

This correlates with statistics from the government, which state that the number of Indian tourist arrivals into the country had increased by 4.9 percent, comparing November of this year to the last.

The amount of tourist arrivals from the country into the Maldives in the first 11 months of 2017 had also increased by 22.9 percent.

As such, a total of over 57,000 tourists had come into the country at the start of November, and an additional 20,000 have visited the country now.

5.6 percent of all tourists that arrived in the country were from India.
