Civil Court Judge Mohamed Haleem has set a national record, by hearing the most number of cases in 24 hours.
Judge Haleem had heard 153 cases from 8 am to 12 am last Thursday, out of the 160 scheduled for the day; spending an average of six minutes per case.
He also made rulings on 66 of the 153 cases on Thursday.
The cases included: landlord/tenant issues, monetary issues and breach of contract claims.
