Although the local council has fulfilled government requirements by expanding the land area and submitting revised architectural drawings for approval, the continued lack of progress on the project has prompted the council to formally express its grievances.

The Sh. Feevah Island Council has stated that there are no updates regarding the construction of the new school, noting that the only change at the designated site is the continued expansion of a stagnant pool of water. | raajje tv
The Sh. Feevah Island Council has stated that there are no further updates regarding the construction of the island's new school, other than the fact that the stagnant pool of water on the designated site has grown larger.
According to information shared with RaajjeTV by the Feevah Island Council regarding the development of the local school, the project was initially awarded during the previous administration. The council stated that the project was originally contracted solely for the construction of a multi-purpose hall. However, a large plot of 51,600 square feet has since been allocated with the intention of eventually relocating the entire school to the new site.
The council stated that although the land had already been allocated when the current administration took office and laid the project's foundation, additional land would be required to accommodate the government's specific design. Consequently, following a public consultation, the council has now expanded the land area to meet the government's requirements and confirmed that the updated design has been submitted for official approval.
The council noted that while a significant portion of the work on the multi-purpose hall had been completed during the previous administration, progress has come to a standstill following the change in government.
The council noted that due to the project's suspension, a large body of stagnant water has been accumulating on the allocated site. According to the council, this has become a major concern for the public, who have repeatedly called for the project to resume.
