Former Vice President Faisal Naseem has stated that the government's entry into the taxi business is unacceptable.
After meeting with taxi drivers on Thursday to hear their grievances, Faisal stated that transportation services are deeply connected to the everyday lives of ordinary citizens. He further emphasized that as the MDP prepares to return to power in 2028, he intends to listen to the concerns of all citizens.
Faisal stated that the top priority of an MDP government would be to find a lasting solution to the parking crisis.
God willing, the construction of parking buildings will be among the very first priorities of our administration. We must designate specific areas for this purpose. While some progress was made on this front in the past, it needs to be addressed more effectively. Furthermore, I do not personally believe that the government should be directly involved in this type of commercial enterprise.Faisal Naseem
Faisal stated that the public faces numerous challenges when the government intervenes in private sector businesses.
Furthermore, Faisal stated that an MDP government would focus on facilitating arrangements that are as convenient as possible for both the general public and taxi drivers. He also noted that the administration would maintain a close relationship with taxi drivers.
