Maldives Civil Aviation Authority grants approval for Slovenian ACC pilot training programs

This approval authorizes the center to conduct a wide range of courses, including training for Private Pilot Licenses (PPL) and Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPL).

The Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) has officially recognized Slovenia’s Aviation Career Center (ACC) as a certified training institution, granting it "Approved Training Organization" (ATO 017) status. Reports indicate that this certification, issued on September 20, 2024, represents a significant milestone in ACC’s efforts to expand its international presence.
Under this authorization, the Academy of Civil Aviation (ACA) is empowered to conduct pilot training programs approved by the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA). These programs encompass Private Pilot Training, as well as Integrated and Modular Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot Training. The scope of the approval further includes Instrument Ratings, Multi-Engine Piston Class Ratings, Night Ratings, and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC). Additionally, the academy is authorized to offer specialized courses for Flight, Class Rating, and Instrument Rating Instructors.
In addition to the ATO authorization, the MCAA has issued a qualification certificate for ACC’s flight simulation training device located in Maribor, Slovenia. Classified as an "Airplane FNPT Level II," the simulator represents a generic multi-engine piston aircraft. This device has been officially approved for use in training courses authorized by the MCAA.
Abdulla Baqir, Flight Operations Inspector at the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority, congratulated the ACC team on this achievement. In his message, he expressed his appreciation for the technical expertise and prompt responsiveness demonstrated by the center's staff throughout every stage of the certification process.
With this approval, ACC has become a training center based in Slovenia that is officially recognized by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Maldives. This development will facilitate various training opportunities for individuals seeking to obtain pilot licenses under Maldivian civil aviation regulations.
