Friendly marches held in Male' and atolls to commemorate Police Service Day

As part of the activities to commemorate Police Service Day, a special solidarity march has been held in Male' and various islands across the atolls.
The route march involving police officers from the Male' area commenced at 6am on Saturday, proceeding along the perimeter of the capital city. The march, which began at Republic Square, was attended by the Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology Ali Ihusaan, Commissioner of Police Mohamed Ahmed, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikuree.
Furthermore, more than 1,000 personnel, including officers of various ranks and civilian staff, participated in the march. Police officers and civilian employees stationed in the islands also took part in the marches held across various local communities.
The police administration stated that the march, which symbolized the unity of their ranks, was organized as part of the activities to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the Maldives Police Service operating as a separate civil institution since September 1, 2004.
As part of the activities to commemorate Police Service Day, a special children's evening will be held today at the Social Center area. Additionally, a "Police Family Night" is scheduled to take place at the Social Center later tonight.
