SJ Construction has announced the completion of the row house development project in HA. Dhidhdhoo, which was initiated during the previous MDP administration.
SJ Construction has announced that all work on the row house project has now been completed. The company further stated that the process of handing over the units to the Ministry of Housing is currently underway.
The project involves the construction of 75 two-story housing units. According to the Ministry of Housing, each row house will feature three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Additionally, the scope of work includes the development of surrounding infrastructure, such as road construction, the installation of street lighting, and the creation of a dedicated parking area.
According to the Ministry of Housing, the project was awarded to SJ Construction for a total of MVR 120 million. SJ Construction commenced work on the project in 2022.
Although the application process for these row houses was opened to the residents of Dhidhdhoo in 2023, the Ministry of Housing has yet to announce the list of successful applicants.
