Haifa Ahmed, the Head of Investment at the Pension Office, has resigned amidst growing controversy surrounding the government's bond purchase transactions.
According to a reliable source, Haifa resigned from her position on Thursday. In addition to Haifa, two other individuals serving at the management level have also stepped down. However, the identities of these two officials have not yet been confirmed.
The exact reason for the resignation of the three officials remains unconfirmed. However, reports indicate that they stepped down in protest against the bond purchase.
Furthermore, reports have emerged that final preparations are underway to proceed with a transaction initiated last year, involving the conversion of 2.4 billion Rufiyaa worth of T-bills held by the Pension Fund into a long-term government bond.
