Maldives and Thailand hold discussions to strengthen bilateral relations
The foreign ministers of the Maldives and Thailand have held extensive discussions on strengthening bilateral ties, focusing on enhancing cooperation across key sectors including trade, investment, tourism, and healthcare.

Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, has held a telephone conversation with the Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Iruthisham Adam.
During the call on Monday, the Thai Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Minister Iruthisham Adam on her recent appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives.
According to the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The discussions focused extensively on facilitating high-level exchange visits, promoting trade, investment, and tourism, as well as enhancing people-to-people ties.
Furthermore, they exchanged views on cooperation within the health sector and working together in the international arena.
Furthermore, the two foreign ministers discussed the various challenges currently facing the global community. These discussions focused on ensuring food and energy security, maintaining the freedom of navigation, and collaborating to combat the rise of online scams and fraudulent activities.
