Reaffirming the government's full commitment to expanding the initiative, the President also noted that the scouts' exemplary dedication to humanitarian service serves as a cornerstone for strengthening social cohesion.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that from the north to the south of the Maldives, the scout movement serves as a powerful force that bridges the geographical distances between these islands and connects Maldivian youth through a strong bond of unity.
The President made these remarks in a message issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the scouting movement in the Maldives.
On this occasion, the President expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts of all individuals who have worked, and continue to work, towards the development and advancement of the scout movement in the Maldives. He extended his sincere gratitude to all those involved for their invaluable contributions.
In his address, the President highlighted that the scout movement is rooted in the principles of mutual care and support. He further noted that the movement serves as a practical training ground for self-improvement, fostering a responsible and self-reliant generation built on a foundation of exemplary character.
Furthermore, the President noted that the courage, determination, and noble spirit of mutual assistance displayed by every scout serve as a fine example of the respect and adherence to principles inherited from our ancestors. He also described the scout movement as an exemplary model of service to humanity.
Noting that serving humanity is a virtue highly encouraged in the noble religion of Islam, the President stated that scouts have consistently demonstrated exemplary service to mankind. He further highlighted that such contributions are a significant force in strengthening the cohesion of society.
The President concluded his address by assuring the Scout Association of the government's full cooperation and support in their efforts to further expand and advance the scouting movement across the Maldives.
