Ooredoo Maldives has launched ‘Ooredoo Next’, a digital interaction platform that the company said would routinize the pre-paid mobile market.

The telecommunications provider launched Ooredoo Next along with social networking platform Facebook’s ‘Messenger’ application.

Ooredoo Maldives says that the digital interaction platform will help users to easily engage with Ooredoo through Facebook in order to ‘chect best offers, data add-ons, and manage other services’.

“Ooredoo Nexts’ launch marks another important milestone in our digital transformation journey. This state of the art platform provides us with a new way to connect with customers. We’ve launched the platform with Facebook Messenger and will continue to expand this service to other popular social platforms in the Maldives” said CEO Najib Khan.

Ooredoo said that the platform officially allows mobile users across the Maldives to:

  • Stay up to date on new promotions & offers.
  • View details of Ooredoo’s products & services.
  • Manage & subscribe to Ooredoo services.

Ooredoo Next is reportedly supported by FastForward.ai, a California-based company that provides account management, promotion, and marketing management services.

“We bring Silicon Valley tech to the prepaid mobile customer market, which has not seen innovation in over 20 years. We enable mobile operators to give their customers 100% control of their choices: they decide the services they want to use, how and when they want to use them" said CEO Augie K. Fabela from FastForward.ai Inc.

Ooredoo Maldives raked in revenues of USD 104.6 million last year, and has been a public company after having announced its initial public offering earlier this year.
