Trump Envoy Sergio Meets Foreign Minister Khaleel and Defense Minister Ghassan

Sergio Gor, a special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, has met with the Maldives' Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, and Minister of Defence, Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon.
During his official visit to the Maldives, Sergio met with two of the country's most senior ministers on Monday.
Foreign Minister Khaleel met with Sergio at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, Defense Minister Ghassan held a meeting with him at the Ministry of Defence.
In a post following the meetings, Sergio stated that discussions focused on the bilateral relationship between the Maldives and the United States, as well as regional security issues. Noting that this year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations, Sergio emphasized the importance of exploring new avenues for bilateral cooperation.
