Mauroof made these remarks while addressing Sunday's parliamentary sitting.
Mauroof stated that with a major war currently unfolding in the Middle East, a prolonged conflict would result in irreparable damage to the Maldives.
Furthermore, the member stated that it is deeply concerning that the Maldivian government continues to act in a manner that supports Israel's genocidal war. He further noted that the Maldives lacked the courage to even issue a basic condemnation of the attacks carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran.

Mauroof also questioned whether the public is truly benefiting from the appointment of numerous ambassadors to various countries.
