Ibrahim Nasreen, the Managing Director of Public Service Media (PSM), has resigned from his post.
Reports indicate that Nasreen submitted his resignation during a PSM board meeting on Saturday. He had served as PSM’s MD for one year and one week and stepped down after being offered a position in another government ministry.
Nasreen is the third MD appointed to PSM under the current government. His predecessors, Zeena Zahir and Mohamed Saeed, also resigned from the post at different times for various reasons.
Nasreen has extensive experience in state media, having joined 15 years ago. He previously held the roles of Chief Commercial Officer and Director of E-commerce at PSM. Prior to his appointment as MD, he served as Director of Sales and Marketing.
