As part of its ongoing mission to promote eye health across the Maldives, EyeCare recently held a multi-island eye screening camp in Haa Alif Atoll. The initiative covered the islands of Hoarafushi, Ihavandhoo, Dhidhdhoo, Kelaa, Baarah, and Utheem, where more than 300 residents received free eye care services.
Led by a skilled optometrist, the camp offered screenings, vision testing, and detailed assessments for conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, and other common eye diseases. The effort aimed to provide early detection and preventive care, offering many participants their first step toward improved vision and a better quality of life.
With over 22 years of service, EyeCare has established itself as a trusted provider of professional eye care in the Maldives. Through regular outreach programs and screening camps, the organization continues to make high-quality vision care accessible, particularly in remote and underserved communities.
This latest initiative underscores EyeCare’s commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to eye health, delivering early diagnosis, treatment, and the gift of clear vision to people across the nation.
