The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation Limited (MMPRC) has officially rebranded as Visit Maldives, aligning its legal name with the brand already in widespread use.
Visit Maldives has long served as the official brand used to promote tourism in the archipelago nation. It was adopted as the public-facing identity of the company established to lead the Maldives' tourism marketing efforts. The brand was officially launched on 4 March 2010, under the administration of former President Mohamed Nasheed during the administration of the now opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
The President’s Office on Sunday announced that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially changed the name of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation Limited to Visit Maldives Corporation Limited. The change was enacted through Presidential Decree No. 2025/19.
The company was established to strategically promote and diversify the Maldives’ tourism industry. Its mandate is to carry out all marketing, promotion, and advertising activities in a strategic, sustainable, and continuous manner, with the aim of positioning the Maldives as a leading global tourist destination and maintaining its reputation for high-quality tourism experiences, as part of the government's ongoing efforts.
