Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has revealed that all Maldivian Hajj pilgrims have arrived in Mina.

On Wednesday, Minister Shaheem said that 1,000 pilgrims who went to perform Hajj pilgrimage from the Maldives have arrived in Mina, and that everyone is in good health. He also noted that they will depart for Arafat some time after sundown on Wednesday.

In addition to this, the Maldives Hajj Mission has revealed that all preparations that need to be made in Arafat, just like in Mina, are progressing very well.

The Hajj Mission revealed that the tents where Maldivians will stay in Arafat have been set up. They also said that while men and women will stay separately in the tents, chairs have been placed for pilgrims who wish to lie down and rest.

Highlighting the excellent work of the Hajj Corporation's advance team, the Hajj Mission said that all arrangements are being made to make things easy and comfortable for the pilgrims, and that signs in the Dhivehi language have been placed in the tent area to guide people and allow them to move around independently.

Under the Makkah Route Initiative, the time pilgrims need to spend at Jeddah Airport has been significantly reduced, providing great convenience in travel arrangements.

This year's Hajj day falls on June 5.

1,000 people from the Maldives departed for the Hajj pilgrimage this year as well.
