Police have confirmed that they received the report on Sunday and that further investigations are underway

An officer of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has been found hanged at Bandaara Koshi.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, a reliable source revealed that the MNDF officer was discovered hanged at some point after sundown on Sunday.

Attempts to obtain an official statement from the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) were unsuccessful, as Media Officer Lieutenant Colonel Alimaniku did not respond to the station’s phone calls or messages.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has since revealed that they received a report of a death at Bandaara Koshi on Sunday and are investigating the matter. The police institution has said that the deceased is a 35-year-old Maldivian male.
