A special national security-related operation conducted by MPS and MNDF - 10 March 2025

A foreigner has been injured in a violent assault in the capital, Malé City.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Monday revealed that a case was reported at around 3:10am, where a person was attacked and injured with a sharp object on Shaheed Kudanevi Thuththu Maniku Hingun in Malé.

The police revealed that the victim of the attack was a Bangladeshi man, and he was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

However, no further details were revealed.

Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the stabbing.
