Maldives and Palestine signs an MoU to fight corruption
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Maldives and the Anti-Corruption Commission of Palestine (PACC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in efforts to prevent and combat corruption.
The landmark MoU was signed to strengthen cooperation in the prevention and fight against corruption.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the ACC by the Commission's President Adam Shamil. Dr. Raed Mahmoud Radwan, Chairman of the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission, signed on behalf of PACC.
The MoU was signed as part of the "Saudi-Maldives International Forum on Integrity 2025" and reinforces shared commitments to integrity, transparency, and good governance, aligning with the principle of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) as well as international standards.
The main areas of collaboration between the two commissions under the agreement include cooperation in preventing and combating corruption, sharing information, experiences, and best practices, providing training programs and technical assistance, and participating in events organized by both parties.
Signed during the Saudi-Maldives International Forum on Integrity, the MoU represents a significant step towards strengthening cross-border cooperation in the fight against corruption.
