Warning issued over fraudulent portals issuing IMUGA forms under Immigration’s name

An appeal has been made to be cautious of fake portals operating to issue IMUGA forms in the name of the Maldives Immigration.

On Thursday, Immigration stated that fake portals are operating to issue IMUGA forms, and as this has come to their attention, they are investigating the necessary matters.

Immigration said that three websites have been fraudulently obtaining money by claiming to issue IMUGA forms. These are IMUGA Application, IMUGA Online, and imugamaldives.net.

Immigration has appealed to be cautious of these websites and requested to download forms only from the official website.

Recently, fraudulent schemes have surged, with various scams swindling large sums of money from unsuspecting individuals. As these issues continue to emerge, police and relevant authorities are urging heightened caution when clicking on unfamiliar links or engaging in online transactions.
