The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the High Commission of Maldives in Pakistan, has confirmed it is closely monitoring the situation of Maldivian students across several regions of the country.

The foreign ministry stated that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Maldivian citizens currently in Pakistan. They assured that, should the situation deteriorate, appropriate assistance will be provided.

Pakistani authorities have informed the Maldivian High Commission that educational institutions and offices are currently operating as normal. In the meantime, the foreign ministry has urged all Maldivian residents in or traveling through Pakistan to remain cautious, prioritize their safety, and follow the guidance issued by both the Pakistani government and the High Commission of Maldives.
