Malé City Council has opened 50 scholarship opportunities for the residents of the capital city.
These opportunities, which have been opened in six different areas for vocational and technical training, are opportunities obtained by Malé City Council under an agreement with Strong Cities South Asia Regional Hub.
Among these scholarship opportunities, which were opened on 15 April 2025, are fields including health, construction, engineering, education, as well as IT and digital sectors. In addition to this, opportunities have also been opened in the fields of business, hospitality and customer care, as well as agriculture.
These training programs, which are scheduled to be conducted for a period between three to six months, will be held in Pakistan. Malé City Council has revealed that those selected for these programs will receive travel expenses from Malé to Pakistan, accommodation and meals, and course fees.
The City Council has clarified that in selecting individuals for these scholarships, in addition to O'Level results, the results obtained from interviews conducted among shortlisted candidates will be considered.
The council revealed that those interested in participating in these scholarships should submit their forms before 1pm on April 28.
