Faisal sacked as Tourism Minister
Rumors of a strained relationship between President Muizzu and Abdul Raheem had circulated

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to dismiss Ibrahim Faisal from his position as the Minister of Tourism.
According to the President's Office, Faisal was removed from the position of Tourism Minister on Tuesday.
While Faisal has been dismissed from the position of Tourism Minister, the Ministry of Tourism has been temporarily handed over to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed.
Faisal is the son of the Speaker of the People’s Majlis and the Chairperson of the main ruling party, People's National Congress (PNC), Abdul Raheem Abdulla. While President Muizzu has dismissed Faisal from the ministerial position, rumors of a strained relationship between President Muizzu and Abdul Raheem had circulated earlier.
