Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has headed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an official visit, at the invitation of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As part of the visit, Minister Khaleel will meet with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss ways to further strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two countries, reflecting on their historical ties. They will also explore potential areas for future collaboration between the two nations.
In addition to this, the Maldivian Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet with senior officials of the UAE government to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various sectors.
The visit will highlight the longstanding relationship between the Maldives and the UAE, acknowledging the UAE's assistance towards the development of the Maldives, and solidify the ongoing collaborative efforts between the two countries to further strengthen ties.
Minister Khaleel is accompanied by Ambassador-at-Large Abdulla Hameed and Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha during the trip.
