Renowned presenter Aminath Namza has been appointed as the new Chairperson of Public Service Media (PSM).

The announcement of Namza's appointment as PSM Chairperson was made by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) in a post on social media platform ‘X’ on Monday.

PCB revealed that Namza of M. Honeycomb has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of PSM and as the Chairperson.

PCB has officially announced Namza's appointment as PSM Chairperson at a time she had received the official letter of appointment.

Namza, who has presented programs as a presenter in state media for several years, most recently held the position of Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public Works.

In the current administration, Namza was first appointed as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services.

Namza's appointment as PSM’s new Chairperson comes at a time Ibrahim Nasreen, who was serving as the Sales and Marketing Director of the company, was appointed as the Managing Director of PSM on Sunday.
