In the league round of the CAVA Men's Volleyball Championship, Maldives secured a victory in their final match against Tajikistan. This marked the first victory for the Maldives in this year's tournament. The Maldives also won against Tajikistan in the ranking match played after the league round.

Ismail “Kuda Kaatte” Sajid has been crowned the top scorer of the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Sajid won the Top Scorer award given to the player who performed best in the Central Asia Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men's Volleyball Championship.

Six countries competed in the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship; Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and the host country Uzbekistan.

Maldives won only one out of five matches played in the league round.

Maldives lost to Kyrgyzstan in their first match. Kyrgyzstan beat Maldives in straight three sets. Kyrgyzstan won the sets with scores of 25 – 15, 25 – 13 and 25 – 16. The winning team showed an impressive performance in the game. However, Maldives was unable to show their best performance.

Maldives lost its second game to Turkmenistan in five sets. Turkmenistan won the match three sets to two.

The team lost to Afghanistan in their third match. The island nation lost to Afghanistan in straight sets. Afghanistan won the sets with scores of 25 – 19, 25 – 18 and 28 – 26.

The team suffered another loss in the fourth match of the tournament, played against host country Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan won the sets with scores of 27 – 25, 25 – 14 and 25 – 20.

In the league round of the CAVA Men's Volleyball Championship, Maldives secured a victory in their final match against Tajikistan. This marked the first victory for the Maldives in this year's tournament. The Maldives also won against Tajikistan in the ranking match played after the league round.

Sajid was named the tournament's Top Scorer, scoring a total of 110 points; 99 points in spikes, nine points in blocks, and two points in service.

Trailing close at second place was Veysov Berdigeldi of Turkmenistan who scored a total of 95 points, with a difference of 15 points between him and Sajid. He scored 75 points in spikes, 15 points in blocks, and five points in service.

Kyrgyzstan claimed the trophy at this year’s CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship.
