November 10, which falls on a Sunday, has been declared a government holiday.
This was revealed by the President’s Office in a directive issued on Sunday.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu decided to declare 10 November 2024 as a government holiday to ensure that employees are entitled to uninterrupted leave during holidays.
The President’s Office went on to reveal that according to this year’s calendar the day before the Republic Day holiday which falls on November 10, is an official working day.
The Republic Day is marked annually on November 11.
