Ooredoo Maldives has announced their exciting new ‘Ooredoo 5G Contest’.

In early August, Ooredoo announced a range of new and enhanced services that reflect the telecommunication giant’s unwavering commitment to empower customers, and enrich their digital lives, as part of their 19th anniversary celebrations.

The company expanded nationwide coverage of their 5G, as part of their continuous efforts to enhance connectivity. The telecom giant revealed that Ooredoo 5G is now be available to 60 percent of the Maldives, with 100 percent coverage to be achieved in Phase III.

In a press release issued on Sunday, Ooredoo Maldives revealed that their 5G network has brought  blazing-fast internet speeds to more communities across the Maldives.

The contest was unveiled to celebrate this milestone.

The telecom giant has invited customers to experience the power of 5G and share their speed test results for a chance to win an ‘Oculus Quest 3’.

To participate in the contest, customers will be required to do a speed test by connecting to Ooredoo 5G and perform a speed test from any 5G area in the Maldives, screenshot their speed test result and upload the screenshot to their social media handles on Facebook, Instagram or ‘X’ formerly known as ‘Twitter’, with the hashtag 5Gjassaalaa.

Customers will also be required to tag Ooredoo Maldives on their social media uploads.

The company has set the deadline for participation at 11:59pm on October 19.

Highlighting that customers not only get to experience the incredible speed of Ooredoo 5G by participating, Ooredoo stated that they also stand a chance to win an ‘Oculus Quest 3’.

Ooredoo 5G Contest is open to all Ooredoo customers and the company will be choosing a winner through a random draw.
