A summons notice has been publicized in an ongoing investigation in Fuvahmulah City.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) publicized the summons notice for a man wanted in connection with an ongoing probe linked to theft, on Sunday.

MPS revealed that the case is being investigated by the Fuvahmulah City Police Station.

The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.

The police institution revealed that the summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice, have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.

Summoned is Ahmed Shafraaz, 37 and native to Fuvahmulah City.

The suspect was summoned for questioning in connection with the case of theft.

The suspect is to present himself to the Fuvahmulah City Police Station at 1pm on August 25.
