A man is being located to be presented before the Criminal Court.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed this in a publication issued on Monday.

The police institution revealed that the suspect is wanted in connection with a case filed at the Criminal Court.

The publication was issued as the authorities’ efforts to locate the suspect and present him before court have been to no avail so far.

The court ordered MPS to locate the woman, take him into police custody and present him before court on Tuesday.

Being located in connection with the case is Abdulla Simaah, 34 and native to Thimarafushi island of Thaa atoll.

Simaah is wanted in connection with a case of damage to property filed against him, at the court.

He is to be taken into police custody and presented before court at 1pm on Tuesday.

The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
