Discussions held on enhancing Yunnan-Maldives collaboration in economy, trade

Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress of China called on FM Zameer on Sunday
Discussions have been held on enhancing practical collaboration in economy and trade between the Maldives and Yunnan Province.
This was done during a courtesy call Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress of China Li Xiaosan paid on Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
The meeting saw FM Zameer and Vice Chairman Li Xiaosan engaging in discussions regarding ways to promote the building of cooperative mechanisms between Maldives and Yunnan Province.
Speaking at the meeting, FM Zameer expressed appreciation for the continuous support and assistance provided to the people of the Maldives by the government of China.
He particularly highlighted the valuable support extended by the government of China to the economic development of the island nation.
The meeting saw Vice Chairman Li Xiaosan extending his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome he received.
The vice chairman expressed determination to further enhance bilateral relations between China and Maldives.
