The administration of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu aims to utilize their supermajority in the People’s Majlis, to establish an efficient mechanism to improve and ease public services, says Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Heena Waleed.

She said this while speaking to press on Sunday.

Speaking at Sunday’s presser, Heena briefed journalists on the administration's efforts for the nation’s progress and answered questions posed by media.

Heena shed light on the government’s unwavering commitment to the responsible use of the supermajority.

Assuring the public that the administration would not misuse this power, Heena stated that the aim is to use it to improve wages and bring sustainable economic development to the nation.

Managing directors of state-owned utility companies Fenaka Corporation Limited and State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) were present at Sunday’s presser to answer questions regarding the recent hike in electricity bills.

Addressing the concerns raised regarding this matter, they detailed the discounts provided to electricity bills from STELCO and FENAKA in accordance with the president’s commitment to ease the burden of the people, of paying huge amounts in bills during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Heena also shed light on multiple issues related to public interest and expressed her intent to arrange weekly press conferences to ensure the administration's transparency.
