Youth missing from Hulhumalé, located

The youth reported missing in Hulhumalé, has been located.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they launched a search party after receiving the missing person report on Tuesday.

Reported missing was Akram Adheel Saeed, 25 and native to the capital, Malé City.

MPS revealed that he was found in Hulhumalé, some time after sundown on Tuesday.

Further details have not been disclosed by the authorities.

The search party was announced at around 08:33pm on Tuesday.

Police had not initially provided an update on the missing person after he was located. However, they reported that he was found, when questioned at around 10:31am on Wednesday.

The search for Akram was launched after it was reported that no one had heard from him since March 23.
